An elegant hotel choice along the Camino Francés route in a small village. Hostess is very gracious, and speaks impeccable English. This facility is lovely with beautiful furniture and decor. Our room was spacious and the bathroom very modern. Hostess offered me books to read since I’m unable to walk long distances. She helped us with taxis and served us a wonderful breakfast. Honestly you will be happy with your choice if you stay here.

This lovely little B&B seemed very popular with the Pilgrims walking the Camino and we were one of the few driving through the region making a stop-over in the area. There's lots to see and do nearby and next time we would definitely stay for longer. The Hostess was very gracious and spoke perfect English. We opted for an evening meal which was very good value and recommended as there are no restaurants close by.. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated with well appointed facilities. Highly Recommended.

My wife and I made reservations to stay at Mihotelito during our Camino Frances. When I reserved the room, I inquired about dinner, since Viloria de Rioja is a very small town. The owner informed me that the dinner would cost 25 euros each. I told her that price was very high and she explained that the dinner would be specially prepared for us with local ingredients and region recipe. We arrived early afternoon and the owner said there was a luncheon underway and her daughter showed us our room, which was very nice. The lunch party continued on throughout the afternoon. We learned that this was a family event celebrating her daughter's engagement. The many guests were her finance's family. They occupied the entire main level of the house, so no common areas were available for us. The party finally ended and we went to have dinner. The owner then informed us that the meal we would have was a stew that was left over from the party (so clearly the dinner was not specially prepared for us). Same thing with the desert. When presented with the bill, she did not give us a reduced bill for leftover food; rather, she charged us 25 euros each, then an additional amount for the wine ! Overall, we felt the amount we paid was too high for the room and the meal, since we did not have access to the common areas of the hotel / albergue / home. And none charged us an excessive rate for left over food ! No way we'll ever stay here again and we suggest other pilgrims avoid this place!

We spent one night here before taking the ferry from Bilbao. Rosario, the owner, came out to meet us when we arrived and invited us for drinks and a chat in the lounge as soon as we were settled (as others have noted she speaks perfect English). The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed, very modern bathroom fittings and spotlessly clean. The hotel is furnished throughout most elegantly with antique and modern pieces. Rosario prepared a good dinner and breakfast and gave us lot of advice and helpful information about the area and its food and wine. It was a pleasure to stay here and enjoy the peace of a (very) small (very) rural village. Being in such comfort and, as an occasional long distance walker, it made one feel slightly uneasy watching the Camino pilgrims trudging by!

Very nice place to stay, almost luxury. A bit of a splurge perhaps, but everything about this hotel is first class, and is a nice change from the Camino typical lodging options. It is owner operated, she gave us options for dinner as she went shopping for food that afternoon. The only oddity was dinner was expensive at 20 euros, and if you wanted wine served with dinner, it was an extra charge. So the bill upon checkout was higher than expected.

Unless you are a pilgrim or want to explore the vineyards of Rioja this is off the beaten track as people don't realise there is a new fast road to Pamplona from here. This is a very quiet but charming little village in the middle of lovely countryside. Mihotelito is a revelation from the minute you walk through the doors. the bedrooms are beautifully furnished and you'll enjoy a great breakfast. if you need a meal in the evening you just have to ask but our host recommended we eat in Ezcaray.

We booked Mihotelito during our Camino and it was a refreshing difference to the Hostales on the way. White bed linen and a nice bath helped us forgetting our blisters. Rosalia is a great cook and dinner as well as breakfast was one of the best we had so far on the Camino. We had some nice conversations with our host as Rosalia spoke perfect English. All was very clean and beautifully presented.
