We arrived in Segovia after dark and went to the hotel after eating roast suckling pig. We booked a room with a balcony, but the front desk mistakenly gave us an interior-facing room, and we quickly changed it after negotiation. The room facilities are slightly simple, but the balcony has a great view, with the "Disney" castle not far away. Breakfast is a buffet and costs only 9 euros per person. The hotel is very cost-effective. In the morning I was surprised to see a bunch of hot air balloons rising from the fields. After breakfast, we walked down the road near the hotel to the lawn by the river and looked up at the castle. We came up (without going back) and visited the inside of the castle (it doesn’t open until 10 am). We returned to the hotel to rest for a while and checked out at 12 o’clock.

Hotel de tres estrellas que es muy digno, el personal de sobresaliente. Habitaciones limpias, pero la mía un pelin pequeña por ser abuardillado.
El desayuno bueno y abundante, el zumo de naranja natural y buenísimo .

Really good hotel, in the old quarter with extremely professional and friendly staff. The hotel, in February, was warm and very clean and comfortable. My room with a balcony had wonderful views of the castle and valley. If you can, stay in this hotel.

Hotel a 5 minutos de la plaza mayor de Segovia.
El chico que nos atendió el primer día muy majo, indicándonos que el sábado de semana Santa no había OTA aún siendo laborable (se agradece)
No le doy 5 estrellas ya que la calefacción es central y no individuales y la noche del jueves al viernes hizo mucho calor en la habitación.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I spent four nights at this wonderful and charming Hotel. At that time the vehicle traffic on the street was obstructed due to construction, and it was necessary to walk a couple of extra blocks to arrive. Not a very pleasant thing rolling the suitcases on cobblestone streets. By the way, just a few street down from Don Felipe, there is a "Mirador" (Lookout Point) which offers nice views of the countryside.||Our entire experience was delightful, Virginia (Reception Staff), was very attentive and helpful solving a few minor problems with the room. She and others were very attentive and informative, always pleased to help. The room and bathroom were excellent, good size, and nicely appointed. A minor complaint was the lack of an English -speaking TV channel. This was not unique to Don Felipe, the same situation we found at several other hotels.||The breakfast buffet was good. Our room (first floor) had direct window access to the garden. From there we enjoyed the morning and afternoon views of the Segovia Alcazar. However the really wonderful views were of the evening sky. The red/orange iridescent sky views were unforgettable. Otherwise the garden was also a nice place to sit and relax while drinking a cup of tea, or nice wine. By the way, the staff was always willing to let us borrow a couple of wine glasses. ||Don Felipe Hotel was an excellent lodging that helped us enjoy our visit to Segovia. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone heading that way.

First the positives. The location is perfect for accessing all of Segovia. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The patio area on the backside of the property is great for watching the sunset.

Unfortunately, the beds are a little hard and the AC units really don't work (we ended up opening our window after dark to cool the room down). While it isn't the hotel's fault, the road construction on the street to their entrance requires you to always go through the basement garage and then have to walk up 3 floors of stairs to get back to the street level for the Plaza Mayor area.

The hotel is lovely and the staff is very courteous and helpful. We had room 306, which had an amazing view of the mountain and the Alcazar. Breakfast is excellent! The hotel is well maintained and it is super quiet. We slept extremely well. Definitely will be back !
