Stayed with Charlie and Aggie for the New Year's weekend with several friends of ours. Certainly a boisterous bunch, tons of credit goes to these wonderful people for accommodating us and our needs.
The home is beautiful and much of it retains the rustic quality one would expect from an older home, while modern amenities such as heated bathroom floors and the ever important coffee machine do not leave us for want.
The food that was made by Charlie and Aggie was incredible. fresh ingredients that led to a wonderful breakfast.

Anyone heading Upstate for a getaway I would highly recommend giving the Hopkins House a chance!
Thanks again Charlie, we will certainly be staying with you next time we come up!!

My wife and I attended a wedding this past weekend and had the special treat of staying at Hopkins House. The property is beautifully situated with vast views of the farmland. Charlie was a wonderful host. Our bed was a large pillow and we slept like royalty. Our morning breakfast of fresh roasted coffee, eggs ( from the chickens on site) with Kale and sautéed onions and crisp bacon was perfect. Highly recommend this location for a great stay

Charlie and Aggie welcomed us into their home like family. We stayed with a large group of friends for New Year's and woke up to good conversation and food which went above and beyond expectations. Everything from fresh ground coffee, to raspberries and fresh fruit, local yogurt, granola, french toast, bacon and spinach and kale omelette, and Charlie's company was highly enjoyed during breakfast. The house was beautiful, spacious, filled with antiques, books, and plant life. Bathroom's and shower were pristine, bed's were fluffy, comfortable, and had heating blankets that were fun to cuddle up under even though the house was a very comfortable temperate.
We had so much fun can't wait to come back!

Step back in time with an overnight stay at Hopkins House Farm B and B. Charlie and Aggie offer you a clean, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast in their authentic 1790 farm. We stayed here this past weekend and couldn't have been more delighted with our room and meal. Charlie is an excellent cook and host, even roasting and grinding his own coffee to serve fresh to his guests at breakfast. If you need a place to stay in the Salem, NY area and want to step back in time, Hopkins House Farm should fit the bill.

This is a seriously beautiful place. Has it all. Period rooms, history, antiques, wallpaper, lux bathroom. Strong feelings of history and those who came before us at the Hopkins House, which was build in 1790. I'm a foodie and was expecting there would be food but the breakfast with Charlie far outperformed any expectations. Lots of space, beauty, hidden surprises. Friendly to dogs and teens as well as parents. I especially loved the donkeys, taking walks, exploring barns with Charlie. Aggie was as agreeable a person as you could hope to meet. I'm grateful this couple is willing to share their home. We will definitely return.

When we were searching places to stay we came across this farm B&B. Wonderful old farm home, out in the country. So quite, could here the crickets at night. The nights were so cool, no air conditioning was needed. The host were very sweet, and hospitable!! Would definitely go again!! Felt very comfortable, better than home!!
The room was so nice and comfortable too! Charlie made us a wonderful breakfast both mornings!

Aggie and Charlie made us feel at home right away, as did their 2 outdoor cats and their dog Lucy. They gave us great advice on where to eat dinner. The room was cozy, comfortable, and clean. They served us a delicious made to order breakfast with wonderful farm fresh food and conversation. I highly recommend Hopkins House farm B&B.

My new bride and I were in Salem visiting friends and they surprised us with a night at the Hopkins House Farm Bed & Breakfast. Wow! What a Great surprise. The accommodations were beautiful, and Charlie and Aggie were gracious hosts. The next morning fresh ground coffee and a full hot breakfast awaited us. Wow again. We will certainly be back to see our friends in Salem, and might even spend a night or two at their place.
