November is perhaps not the first choice for beach holiday in Spain but for riding it is perfect. I admit the arrival was quite unusual for holiday in the south... After having rented a car at the airport I took the road towards the hotel (make sure to print out the very good intinary description on the web page of the hotel with pictures of each intesection!), but it had been raining that much that the road had been closed because of flood. After some detour I finally arrived at the Hacienda. Actually in normal situation it is only ca. 20 min. from the center of Jerez. Also the wet weather did not last long: after 1 day of rain the sun came back. Of course temperatures are not high summer, but still very agreable to stay outside just with a sweatshirt (but make sure to have warm clothes with you at this time of the year, spanish restaurants, etc. don't know heating...).||||The hotel is very nice, of very high standing, very cleen. The rooms are spacious; I had a suite (no 9) with a big living room and nice king size bed room with one television with sattelite in both rooms (more than 150 channels programmed). Wonderful view to the pool and the garden. The whole decoration is related to horses (the lamps, the bathroom, etc.): very sweet. Breakfast is very varied: cornflakes, müsli, cheese, meat, warm bred, fresh pressed orange juice, etc.||||For riding this is THE PLACE. Round 35 horses are held here. Mrs. Wesseln educates young horses for the well-known Royal Horse Riding School of Jerez. Professional dressage riders come every day to ride some of the horses. The installations are wonderful (one 60 x 20 hall, one 60 x 20 place outside). The horses are extremely well educated and can all do the most difficult lessons. I took twice a day lessons with two different teachers, both Germans. The pedagogical skills of both teachers were absolutely impressive. Also for children a nice place with poneys, dogs, cats...||||The only less positive aspect is that the hotel does not have a restaurant yet (in construction). In the small village 2 minutes drive away there are 2 small restaurants very typical and simple. After 2 lunchs/dinners there I preferred to drive away every day to another town (Jerez 20 min., Sevilla 1 hour, Cadiz 45 min.). ||||So in summary a very nice hotel for those who mean it seriously with riding!

Sehr schönes, mit viel Liebe zum Detail, renoviertes Landhotel mit direkt angeschlossenem Reitzentrum.||||Die Suiten sind sehr geräumig. (eigener Wohnbereich mit TV, Kühlschrank, Sitzecke; eigener Schlafbereich mit TV, Safe, Klimaanlage; großes Bad mit "begehbarer" Dusche, 2 Waschbecken)||Frühstück im wunderbar begrünten Innenhof - landestypisch mit frischen Fruchtsäften, Serrano Schinken, Tomatenaufstrich, Marmeladen etc.||Großer Lagunenpool, perfekt temperiert, mit Liegen und Schirmen umrahmt von wunderbaren Rasenflächen.||Sehr schöne und saubere Stallungen mit edelsten Pferden. (bei uns würden diese Pferde nie als Schulpferde eingesetzt werden sondern für Turniere verwendet werden).||Ausgezeichnet ausgebildete Reitlehrer/innen vermitteln im Einzelunterricht sehr schnell auch komplizierte Aufgaben.||Ausstattung mit Halle, Außenreitplatz (mit Flutlicht), Schrittmaschine u.v.m.||Das Restaurant war - wie es auch auf der Homepage angeführt war - noch im Bau. Ein Restaurant befindet sich auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite, weitere in den umliegenden Orten.||Ein Leihauto ist empfehlenswert - gerade deshalb da es sich um ein Landhotel handelt. Weiters sollte man sich natürlich auch Ausflüge nach Gibraltar, Jerez de la frontera, Cadiz, Sevilla etc. nicht entgehen lassen.||Wer kein Leihauto hat kann sich getrost auf die Eigentümer verlassen (Abholung vom Flughafen, Transport nach Jerez zur andalusischen Reitschule etc.).||Wer abends zum Essen nicht mehr wegfahren will kann ruhig auf der Hacienda bleiben: ein Koch kommt sozusagen ins Haus (zu Preisen wie im Restaurant ohne Aufschlag).||Thema Barrierefreiheit: ich bin Rollstuhlfahrer und gänzlich ohne fremde Hilfe zurecht gekommen! (alles ist flach, befahrbare Dusche, unterfahrbares Waschbecken, Haltegriffe beim WC, flach abfallender Pool, Aufstieghilfe aufs Pferd).||||Alles in allem freuen wir uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt auf der Hacienda El Boyal und bei dem GANZEN Team!
