I love my new cabinets. The process could not have been better. I worked with Amanda on design and Trey installed.
Amanda was so helpful. She listened to what I needed and worked within my budget. Before she left I had 3D rendering of exactly what they installed a few weeks later.
Trey was very professional. He worked quickly and cleanly, making sure that all the drawers and doors were lined up and worked perfectly before leaving.
I could not be more pleased. I would highly reccommend California Closets, Bee Cave, ask for Amanda and Trey.

We were very disappointed in the service and customer service. The job was a small pantry closet. The technician arrived and didn't know how to do the work plus he didn't have all the tools to do the job. Instead of taking one day, it took 2 days to complete the work. We tried reaching California Closets to talk with someone but no one returned our calls. Our rep offered to help us but she didn't follow through. She was out on maternity leave so that contributed to the lack of communication. I would not recommend them. Too expensive for the quality of service.

My experience with CA Closets keeps getting worse. Customer Service is terrible, non-responsive. The installation for a simple closet took three trips. The finished product is sloppy.

This is a company in trouble who truly doesn’t care.

And your nice salesperson? They want no part in the process once you’ve signed the contract.

Appreciate their response below. But, if it were true, they would have called me back.

I am happy with the end result, but the project was expensive, and the customer service was lukewarm. The installers were nice, polite, hardworking young men who seemed very familiar with the products and eager to do a good job--my complaint is not with them. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned how frustrating it is to have to find someone to do the closet demolition separately. My demo people had questions, but it was IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with the person who sold me the design or anyone else to answer. You would think for the price they would be a little bit more responsive.

California Closets designed an amazing closet for us in a space that we were not sure would fit two of us. The installation process was easy and we love our new closet. I would highly recommend.

I had a great experience with Barbara and California Closets. We needed to rip out a wall of hanging bars and replace it with a wall of functional space. Barbara helped design long hanging spaces, drawers, a built in hamper, jewelry storage, and luggage storage. She also provided her contact for an outside professional to demo the existing wall and patch and paint. Timeline was exactly what was quoted to me and every employee I dealt with was kind and considerate of my home. I was relieved that prices were very reasonable and the lifetime guarantee made the purchase even easier.

While I think my project turned out well, I found it frustrating that demolition and closet cabinet installation was separate and were not included in one price. I feel that both tasks should be the responsibility of one contractor. This segmentation made the demolition and repair of my existing closet uncoordinated with the installation. The closet door installation was done in an un-repaired door frame (door hardware indentions in the door frame and unpainted areas of the door frame). The door frame had to be repaired after-the-fact (at my cost) and there were "imperfections" associated with the "after-the-fact" repair. When I select a closet design and build contractor in the future, I will select one that has all of the tasks included, demolition and installation and thus California Closets will not be on my list. My designer did apologize for the door frame oversight, but if one contractor would have been responsible for the entire job, this wouldn't have happened. For $4,500 PLUS for a fairly small closet, I expect perfection and coordination.

This is our first and last experience with California Closets. We contacted them to do a build-out in our office since my husband and I both work strictly from home now. When they originally installed our desk in October of 2020 it was 3 inches taller than we had specified that we wanted. 3 inches may not sound like a lot but when it's a desk you are sitting at for 8 hours a day it is! Ergonomically it is not good for your posture and causes severe tension and discomfort in your shoulders and back.

In addition to the height being way off the desktop was two completely different colors.

Here we are 4 months later and they are finally coming to correct the issues.

I'm not sure what took four months, because when they got here they literally cut down the uprights onsite to lower the desk. At the end of the day, they had to leave with the 2 drawers that needed to be reduced in size because they did not fit properly. They also had to take 2 of the cabinet fronts because they were cut wrong due to the cabinet having a slide-out.

They replaced the countertop, but again it didn't match at all and was not cut correctly, and was off-centered. When they came back the next day They were able to get the drawers done correctly, but the cabinet fronts are having to be re-ordered... which who knows how long that will take.

They replaced the desktop, and it now looks to match, but it is not level front to back. On one end of the desk, the draws stick out further than the countertop and on the other end, the countertop hangs over the drawers. There is a very large gap between the countertop and the wall where papers could easily fall. And last but not least, the grommet for my cords was cut more than halfway over a cabinet, causing it to be mostly unusable.

Needless to say, this has been a nightmare, and now I haven't heard from anyone in 2 days on how they plan to correct the new issues.

Very poor customer service!

EDIT: 4/7/2021

This original install started in October, here we are in April and we are on the 5th, yes you read that right FITH countertop and it is still not done correctly! I am trying to get in touch with the corporate office, but am having no luck. At this point I would rather them come rip it out, give me my money back and let me start fresh with a different company!

If you know how to get in touch with California Closest’s Corporate office I’d love a contact name and number. LOL

DID I MENTION, DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!
