Top notch service makes this bed and breakfast worth staying at. They go all out during holidays with decorations. Always have something available to munch on. The rooms have different themes. The breakfast has never disappointed. We've been here multiple times, and will continue to go back.

I traveled to PA alone for a friend's wedding. Lisa & Jim gave me a safe place to stay. It was my first B&B experience. Lisa & Jim were both friendly and talkative. I was their only guest. They made me breakfast each morning. I felt bad because I was always rushing off where I need to be each morning. I was able to keep my cold snacks in the refrigerator. There was also a mini fridge upstairs to share if there were other guest. It was stocked with water. There were also snacks in the room. I visited in December and the B&B was decorated for Christmas, from ceiling to floor, inside & out. The parking situation isn't the greatest. It would have been tight if there were other guest. I wasn't around much during the day but at night I had a nice, quiet stay. Lisa sent me home with a container of her bake goods.

We have stayed several times and will again when we want to get away and relax. Jimmy and Lisa go out of their way to make us comfortable. Breakfast is always delicious and varied. The beds are very comfortable. We both slept well.

My friends and I celebrated my birthday and spent two days and had the whole house. Lisa was very accmodating and made such wonderful breakfasts both mornings we were there. The house was decorated for Halloween and it was such a cool atmosphere. She had lights everywhere. Although we weren't at the inn a majority of the daytime, we enjoyed our evening time very much. Highly recommend this B&B. Once you have been there, you and the owner will be friends for life! She and her husband are awesome! Oh, and to mention, she gives good recommendations for places to go and things to see, and it's located in the middle of some great antique malls and small shopping communities. It is also very close to all the things you can do in Penn State! Again, I highly recommend staying at this B&B.

My husband and inwemt to stay here for valentines day! The house was magically decorated and the host Lisa and her husband are super nice we enjoyed talking with them! They took a super nice photo of us together with a big heart which was neat♡ we had a super nice welcome gift in the honeymoon suite with the jacuzzi tub in the room which is super nice!!! Even had an awesome selection of movies to choose from!! We also enjoyed the hot tub ! They also made us a beautiful breakfast! We definately will be going back someday! I highly recommend staying here!

If you've never stayed at a B&B, you'll have a hard time finding another one as charming as this one. Lisa n Jimmy make you feel at home. The place is decorated for every season and the breakfast is yummy .

My husband and I stayed for one night in their jacuzzi room to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had a nice, relaxing evening together. We really enjoyed our breakfast that was included the next morning. The owners were very friendly and asked what you would prefer for breakfast. I thought that was very nice, especially since my husband is diabetic. We would definitely recommend!

My husband and I were looking for a romantic Valentines getaway and we certainly found one at The Briar Rose! This home is so beautiful and always decorted so elegantly for each and every holiday. Lisa and Jimmy are the most gracious hosts and have now become our friends! We have stayed here multiple times over the years and we are about to go back again! Never disappoints!
